Non-AFL----teachers count all grades as the same, basing grades on discipline

AFL--on-going assessment and practice, exit slips, quick checks, whiteboards to check for understanding

AFL doesn't occur many times at the college level. It also has been our experience that AFL diminshs at the high school level.

CTE lends itself well to using assessments as practice. Practical skills are often practiced/performed for immediate feedback from the teacher so that technique can be improved.
